The Life of ROBERT J FLEMING

Robert J. Fleming, 79, of Knoxville died of complications of Alzheimer''s disease Friday at Veterans Medical Center there.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bybee and Davis Funeral Home in Knoxville.  Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Fleming was born in Des Moines and had lived in Knoxville many years.  He was a retired chief physical therapist at Veterans Medical Center in Knoxville, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of John Myers Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Oriental Masonic Lodge, Melita Commandery and Za-Gz-Zig Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Bonnie Wallace of Knoxville; a stepdaughter, Diane Sickau of Boone; a stepson, Charles Adams of Austin, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Disease Association.
