The Life of MORRIS JR FRIED
Morris Freid, Jr. 75, died October 18, 2004 at Bishop Drumm Care Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 21 at Grace West Church, 6820 Ashworth Rd in West Des Moines. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Morris was born in San Antonio, TX and had lived in the Des Moines area since 1967. He retired from a 20 year military career in the US Army and later worked as a supervisor for the City of Des Moines-Vets Auditorium.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Joan Fried of Des Moines; daughter, Morene Fried of Fairbanks, AK; son, Michael Fried of Des Moines; sister, Rae Grabfelder of San Antonio, TX; and four grandchildren, Ashley Nichole, Danielle, Ashley Elizabeth and Charles.
Visitation begins after 4 p.m. today at Dunn''s Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association-Mid Iowa Chapter.
