The Life of Patricia Puckett Kanode

Patricia Ann Kanode, 79, of Roanoke, Va., passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her son, Keith’s home in Bedford County, Va., on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Patricia was born  in Roanoke, Va., on July 3, 1944, to the late Robert Forrest Puckett and Ora Lena Aliff Puckett

During her free time, she enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, bowling and card games. Those preceding her in death are her beloved husband of 60 years, Lacy Ward Kanode Jr.; sisters, Dianne Kunc and Claudine Hines; and brothers, Robert Puckett Jr. and Clarence Puckett.

Patricia’s memory will be forever cherished by her sons, Greg Kanode, Keith Kanode and his wife, Candace; daughter-in-law, Paige Kanode; eight grandchildren, Zach Kanode, Alex Kanode, Jonah Kanode, Laci Kanode, Kingsley Kanode, Dottie Kanode, Kara Johnson, and Betty Barbour; sisters, Shelby Wells and Jenelle States; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Nelson and her husband, James.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff at Heartland Hospice and Adapt Health. Also, a special thanks to Rebecca Johnson (Nana B) for assisting with her 24-hour care.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Oakey’s South Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home
