The Life of Mrs. Brenda Lee Myers

Brenda Lee Myers, 77, of York, died on October 19, 2023, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Myers. Born in York on September 19, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Robert Messersmith and the late Paul and Dorothy V. (Sweitzer) Hoke.

Brenda was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791.

She loved her 3 girls. She attended each and every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s events. Brenda loved spending time with her lifelong friends. Family was everything to Brenda.

She is survived by three daughters Lori A. Kunkle of Spry, Jacqueline S. Smith and her husband Donald of Red Lion, Christine M. Roehrig and her husband Martin of Red Lion, a step son Timothy Myers and his wife Betsy of Thomasville; twelve grandchildren Jack, Adair, Jesse, Ariel, Samantha, Landon, Lane, Braden, Ashlyn, Desiree, Ty and Kaleigh; seventeen great grandchildren, four brothers and sisters Robert Messersmith, Paula Wetzel, Dennis Hoke and Mary Jo Ellis. She was preceded in death by a brother Christian and a sister Ida.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
