The Life of Michael R. Pritiskutch

Michael Ryan Pritiskutch, 33, of Pottstown, died Easter Sunday afternoon as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident while traveling to work. 

Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Yvonne (nee Stripe) Pritiskutch and Joseph Pritiskutch, Pottstown.  He was a 2009 graduate of Saint Pius X High School and attended Penn State – Berks before completing training in Automotive Technology at Universal Technical Institute (UTI), Exton.   He was currently employed as the assistant manager at Maggiano’s Little Italy, King of Prussia.

Michael enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. Mike and his dad rode together numerous times through the coal region on day trips. He enjoyed hanging with his girlfriend and going on adventures. He loved family time gatherings when he was free and not working. He enjoyed seeing his nephews and niece and giving them his “big” hug. He will be remembered as a good son, good brother, good uncle and good friend to many.

In addition to his Mom, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Ann Marie (nee Brennan) Pritiskutch, both of whom were members of the former St. Vincent de Paul Church (now Holy Family Parish), of Minersville.

In addition to his Dad, Michael is survived by his brother, Joseph Pritiskutch (spouse, Valerie), two nephews and one niece, Brock, Remi and Roman; his maternal grandparents, Frederick Stripe and Leona Yeager; his Dad’s wife, Suzanne Pritiskutch; his companion, Daniela Mendez.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

The family will accept visitors on Monday, April 15, from 8:00 A.M. until the Celebration of Michael’s life at Noon.  Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.  Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville, is entrusted with arrangements.  Donations in Michael’s memory can be made to the charity of the giver’s choice.  Visit www.dutcavich.com
