The Life of Mrs. Phyllis P. Strickhouser

Phyllis P. Strickhouser, age 93, of York, died March 19, 2024, at Yorkview Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Strickhouser was born on May 22, 1930, to the late Katie and Park Hartman.

She was preceded in death by Gerald L. Strickhouser, her loving husband of 44 years. She was also preceded in death by her son, David L. Strickhouser.

Phyllis is survived by her son Phillip G. Strickhouser of Thomasville; her daughter-in-law, Reta Strickhouser of Wellsville; her grandson Chad Strickhouser of Wellsville; her granddaughter, Amy Danner (Kevin) of Wellsville; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a life-long member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Dillsburg where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a very kind and gentle person and always had a kind word for everyone. She will be missed by her friends and family.

A private memorial service and burial was held on April 4, 2024.
