The Life of Mrs. Dorothy Louise Righter

Dorothy Louise (Roberts) Hartman Righter, 80, died on Monday, March 25, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of the late James I. Hartman and the late Elwood Righter.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Amy M. Favorito officiating. A viewing will be from 11:30-12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Born on April 24, 1943, in York, she was the daughter of the late Clara Ilgenfritz. She attended William Penn Senior High School. Dorothy was a homemaker.

Dorothy loved children and taking care of everyone. She always enjoyed cooking for the neighborhood kids. She also enjoyed collecting angels, loved Jesus and most importantly loved her grandchildren the most.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Michele Warner of Dover; three sons, James Ivan Hartman, Sr. of York, Troy Alan Hartman of York and Eric Jason Hartman of Dover; five grandchildren, Destiny, Angel, Troy, Jr., Cheyenne and Shaylynn; many great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Daisy May. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
