The Life of Mrs. Donna L. Dinges

Donna L. Dinges, 84, entered into rest, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, with her husband by her side holding her hand.

Born on August 27, 1939, in York, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Geesey) Shue. Donna was a graduate of Millersville State College. She retired from teaching at Hannah Penn Middle School in June 1996 after 35 years of dedicated service.

Donna loved animals, crossword puzzles, going to movies and concerts, cross stitching and meals out with her close group of friends, as well as spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her brother Roger Shue.

Donna is survived by her husband of 55 years, Willard C. Dinges; daughters Michelle Flaharty and her husband Mark, York, and Leanne Willis and her husband Craig, Drums; cats Bella and Midnight; sister in law, Brenda Shue; best friend, Ann Grove; nieces, a nephew, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 4, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, 2114 West Market St., York, with her cousin, The Rev. Michael W. Sigman officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service Monday.
