The Life of Jill Nelson Vaeth

Jill Nelson Vaeth, age 67, of Bedford, Virginia, went to be with her beloved mother and family on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

Jill grew up in the Cave Spring community and later moved to Bedford and raised her family.

She was joyfully dedicated to her family, unselfish with her love and her children’s greatest supporter. In addition to raising her family, she was a pet lover and an avid gardener.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Frances Wade Nelson and her father, Richard Alvin Nelson.

Jill is survived by her daughter, Kelley Vaeth McNamee and husband Ryan, her sons, James Vaeth and wife Alyssa, and Mark Vaeth. Her two granddaughters, Emma Charlotte McNamee and Amelia Rose McNamee. Also, her beloved granddogs, Beamer and Milo.

A service celebrating Jill’s life will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, March 23, in the Chapel of Light in Evergreen Burial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm at Saturday at Oakey’s South Chapel and then go in procession to the cemetery for the service.
