The Life of Carole A. Clay

Carole A. Clay, 77, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, February 27th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. 

 

Born in Pottsville on May 29, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Elmer & Evelyn (Schaeffer) Moyer.

 

She was married to Charles A. Clay, her husband of 60 years.

 

Carole was a member of First United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven. 

 

She had been employed by Ethel Maid as a machine operator.

 

In addition to her husband, Carole is also survived by three daughters: Hope A. Clay, companion of Mike Pontician, of Cressona, Lori A., wife of Jeff Faust, of Schuylkill Haven;  

& Danielle L. Clay, companion of Greg Miller, of Friedensburg; one son: Charles A. Clay II & wife, Kimberly, Pine Grove, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her sister, Diane, wife of  Jim Ferrier, of Schuylkill Haven; and brother, Kevin, husband of Kathy Moyer, of Schuylkill Haven. 

 

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Brenda Clay, brother, Richard Moyer, and sister, Donna Stock.

 

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 4th at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with brother-in-law, James Ferrier officiating. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
