The Life of Robert Algee Nichols

Robert Algee (Bobby) Nichols, age 69, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born in Roanoke, Va. and attended Patrick Henry High School, Jefferson High School, and Virginia Western Community College.

He was Preceded in death by Parents, Charles Harmon Nichols and Gloria Meade Nichols; Brother, Charles Harmon Nichols, Jr.; and great-niece Avery Marie Nichols.

Bobby is survived by Nephew, Charles Lucas (Luke) Nichols and wife Lindsay; Nephew, Andrew Ryan Nichols and wife Shannon; Niece, Carrington Leigh Nichols; several great-nieces and great-nephews; extended family, Melvin Lucas and wife Linda; and many friends, especially from Calvary Baptist Church.

Bobby had a strong faith in Christ; Attended First Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va. and Calvary Baptist Church in Bedford, Va.

He loved his dogs, Suzie, Sid and Capone; and his cat, Tiny. He was passionate about woodworking and music.

Bobby also worked for the family business, Granite Memorials Inc., for a number of years.

The family greatly appreciates his caregivers, especially Robyn Fuqua, Diane Huffman, the staff at Carrington Place, and Good Samaritan Hospice.

A private burial will be held in Evergreen Burial Park.
