The Life of John Woodrow Harlow Jr

John “Bud” Woodrow Harlow entered the presence on Jesus Christ on January 18th due to complications from dementia.

He is preceded in death by his father John, mother Dorothy, and brother Joe.

He was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa on December 11th, 1940. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet as well as his son John Mark (wife Christa) and daughters Amy (husband Jim), Jennifer (husband Stu) and Kara (husband David). Papa’s legacy will be carried on by his thirteen grandchildren: Lydia, John, Ben, Luke, Halle, Atalie, Olivia, Joe, Emmy, Abay, Beti, Alicia and Finn.

He was one of the oldest in his family of 8 kids (Larry, Kay, Joe, Doug, Maggie, Barb, Becky). Bud and Janet moved their young family to Kansas City in the early 1970’s. He lovingly provided for his family through his work in both real estate and telecommunications. He was active his entire life and loved playing tennis and bicycling. He loved the Lord Jesus, and was faithful in making sure his family attended church. In his later years, he enjoyed being a member of Westbrook Church.

Buddy, Bud, John or Papa…he played so many roles in so many lives, and will be missed by all who loved him.
