The Life of Leo Dauberman

Leo H. Dauberman, age 74 a longtime resident of Linwood, passed peacefully Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at home with his family.

Born in Galen, New York, Leo was the son of the late John E. and Mary (nee Locke) Dauberman. The large Dauberman family of 9 children then moved to Chester, PA where they were raised and educated. Leo was an Honorably discharged, U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. As part of the 25th Infantry Division, he received various honors and medals for his service.

Prior to his enlistment and at 17 years of age, Leo met Karen, and they married two years later. Together they moved to the Fernwood section of Upper Darby, where they began and raised their family. Leo was a member of Linwood Heights United Methodist Church, and former member of the Trainor United Methodist Church. He worked for McCusker & Sons Hauling in Chester, for a longtime before retiring.

A beloved husband, daddy, brother and Pop-pop; Leo loved spending time with his family, at home, which was exactly where he wanted to be. In the words of Leo, he was “A Jack of all trades, but Master of None.”Along with his parents, Leo was predeceased by his brothers, George, Johnny, Gene, Tom and Bill; and his faithful companions, Speckles & Angel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Karen A. (nee Lewis); his daughters, Karen L. Dauberman (Patrice Japhet), Linda Dauberman (Norberto), Patricia Dauberman; granddaughters, Samantha Haggerty and Leanna Pujols; and great-granddaughter, Aubrie. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary, June and Janet; and many nieces and nephews.

 Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
