The Life of Joseph G. Baker Sr.

Joseph G. Baker, Sr. 75, Longtime resident of Milmont Park, died Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Thomas Jefferson Univ. Hospital.

Born in Darby, he was the son of the late Herbert and Elizabeth (nee Fox) Baker. He was a store manager at retail stores until his retirement. Joseph ran several snack bars at local pools in the  summers including Ridley Twp. Pool. Along with his parents he is also predeceased by his brother Charles Baker; and his sister, Betty Valentino.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Helene L. (nee Snyder); sons, Joseph (Staci) Baker; Jr. and Bill Snyder (Heather Rea); daughter, Lisa Cathcart; and grandchildren, Devon, Skyler, Ryan, Emma, Marissa, Natalie, and Ana.

In Lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Joseph’s name would be appreciated by the family.
