The Life of Nancy Lou Ody

Nancy Lou Ody (nee: Clifford) went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 13th, 2023, after a short illness.

She was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 14th, 1931, but moved to Elyria, Ohio and was a lifelong resident.

She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Nancy was known as a gifted seamstress.  Her clothing, quilts, purses, and baby blankets were beautiful and much loved by their recipients. Her needle point pieces are works of art and adorn many walls.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William (Bill) Ody Jr.; son, Michael; parents, Earl and Evelyn Clifford; and brothers, John and James Clifford.

Left to keep her memory is her son, Daniel Ody; daughter, Christine (Lewis) Jackson; granddaughter, Julie Chlepciak; grandsons, Jason, Christopher, and Jonathon Ody; four great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Betty Washka and Carol Clifford; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the team at Avon Place and Bella Hospice Care for their loving attention to Nancy.

There will be a private family graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Grace Lutheran Church, 9685 E. River Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.

Wyers–Bollinger Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
