The Life of Warren Deen Koker

Rev. Warren Deen Koker, 85, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

He was born on May 30, 1938 in Fairfield, Illinois to Thomas and LaNora (Warren) Koker.

Warren attended and graduated from Fairfield High School. He also graduated from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, IL and the Chicago School of Theology.

He was Sunday School Chairman on the K.C. District Church of the Nazarene, ordained on the Illinois District Assembly by Dr. Orville Jenkins. Warren was elected to the Advisory Board on the Dakota District, the KC District and served as a Delegate to General Assemblies several times.

Warren was the first youth pastor at Central Church of the Nazarene for 3 ½ years. He pastored in Griggsville, IL for 3 ½ years, Mitchell, SD for 11 years and Topeka, KS for 15 years and was a Sunday School Chairman in Mitchell, SD.

He is preceded in death by parents Thomas Koker & LaNora Koker, brother Allan Koker and sister Lorraine Donoho.

Warren is survived by his loving wife Diane, brother Charlie Koker and wife Darlene, brother Verne Koker and wife Linda, son Kevin Koker and wife Julie, daughter Kristen Stephens and husband Mike. Grandkids: Faith North and husband Drake, AJ Stephens, Lauren North and husband Hayden, Aubrey Stephens, and Alyssa Stephens. Great grands: Parker North and Jonah North.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 1:00-2:00pm on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Central Church of the Nazarene, 12600 W 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66215, the funeral service will follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be in Olathe Memorial Cemetery, 730 N Chestnut St, Olathe, KS 66061.
