The Life of John P. Conrad
John P. Conrad, 93, of Bowers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, was taken to his final resting place with God, on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was married to his wife, Marian E. (Ziegler) Conrad on June 9, 1951. Born in Maxatawny Twp. he was the son of Paul J. and Clara I. (Baer) Conrad of Bowers. He was a former member of Christ (DeLong) United Church of Christ, Bowers.
In addition to his wife of 71 years, Marian, John is survived by three of their children, Steven C. Conrad, Bowers, Sharon F. (Conrad) Seaman, wife of Larry R. Seaman, Kutztown; and Kevin K. Conrad, husband of Susan A. (Grim) Conrad, Kutztown; five grandchildren: Stacy (Conrad) Keller, Kimberly (Seaman) George, Megan Conrad, Jennifer (Seaman) Schemberg, and Michael Conrad. He is also survived by eight great-granchildren, Kayla Keller, Brittany and Ashley Noecker, Jaxon and Macen George, Kolby and Connor Schemberg and Carson Conrad.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Willard Conrad; a sister Virginia (Conrad) Kern and his son, Randy J. Conrad.
John was raised on their family farm and always felt that family came first in his life. He worked on their farm for many years while also working other jobs. He previously also worked at East Penn Manufacturing, Kutztown Borough and he retired from the state as Berks County Dog Law Enforcement officer. He most recently was working during his retirement at Kutztown Napa delivering parts to local garages. He also enjoyed working in his garage at home to fix up John Deere tractors. He loved traveling with his wife and they went on many trips all over the United States, quite a few of which were on his motorcycle.
Private family burial will be at Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Fleetwood (Richmond Township). There are no public calling or viewing times.
