My beautiful sister

Shay was always uplifting and a people pleaser. She wanted everyone to be happy or have a good time no matter what. We are both the youngest which made us connect a little more than our older siblings who we love so much. My favorite memory of Shay were the times we'd laugh at funny videos and watch movies together. It was one of the ways we connected when we were feeling down or bored. I'll miss laughing at our silly inside jokes nobody understood and what look at us weirdly which made us laugh even more. I'll never have a sister like her who made me feel like I can be myself around her mainly because she was the same way. I'll miss her loud laughs in the room next to me while I'm trying to sleep or when we'd send each other videos from Instagram or TikTok even if we already seen them lol. I'll miss her smile and beautiful energy forever.

Fun times in California

I always remember Shay as being a fun loving kind of person full of so much joy.  Although I was not able to see her that often as I live in California, I did get a chance to see once every so often when she came out to California with her Aunt Donna/Debbie or when I went out there to Philadelphia.  When she was younger, I remember she loved playing "house" with me where she would always take the lead in setting up grand and detailed scenarios of the play.  I remember thinking she would be a great leader in something someday.  She always had a very curious and open minded spirit to her too as she would do things like write me letters when she was maybe 8 or 9 (when I was about 16) asking me all kinds of questions and telling me about her life.  She was always such a joy to be around.  She will forever be missed.
