The Life of RUTH ANN RICHARDS

Ruth Ann Fahnestock Richards, 78, went home to be with Jesus her Savior on April 14, 2023. Born and raised in Des Moines, she attended Grandview Park Baptist Church until she and her husband, David, with their young children, Bob and Susan, moved to San Diego. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as secretary to the president of the Institute for Creation Research, Dr. Henry Morris. She was also editor of Acts and Facts magazine for many years.

Ruth Ann was known for her quirky sense of humor, and had a funny face for every occasion. She remained positive and faithful to her Lord throughout the ups and downs of life. She moved back to Des Moines in 2018.

Her husband, David Lloyd Richards, and her parents, Robert and Norma Fahnestock, preceded her in death.

Lovingly remembering her are: sister Mary Lou Fahnestock Walker, son Bob Richards, daughter Susan Richards Noble, granddaughters Melissa Richards Vahle (husband Keith) and Cassie Richards, great-granddaughter Emery Vahle, nieces Deane Fisher Boggess (husband Rick) and Denise Fisher McKinney (husband Kevin), and great-nieces and nephews.

A family graveside service will take place at a later date.
