The Life of Judith A. Cappel

Judith A. Cappel, 75, of Pottsville passed away peacefully
Wednesday morning at Broad Mountain Nursing Home.  Born in Pottsville, January 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred Mortimer.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville.  Judith worked at Craftex Mills in Auburn throughout her life before retiring in the 2000s.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her great grandson Colton Yeager along with her sisters Joan Mortimer and Evelyn Ditzler.

She is survived by her children; James Cappel of Pottsville, Brian Cappel,husband to Gina of Frackville, and Jodi Cappel companion to Jeff Coy of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Brianna, Justin, Jeremy, Nicholas, Johnna, Ayden, and William along with twelve great grandchildren, sister, Dorothy Daubert and brother Edward Mortimer.

Judy will be best remembered for loving her children,grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally. She would most likely be found with a fruity drink or pumpkin beer in her hand, listening to country music, with her hair and nailsdone, and never without a sarcastic comment.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Judith's name be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch Street, Pottsville, PA 17901
