The Life of Donna B Kemfort

Donna B. Kemfort, 69, of Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Port Carbon, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

She was born May 15, 1953, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Donald Bubel and Elizabeth M. (Davis) Bubel.

She is survived by her husband, Ennis E. Kemfort, to whom she was married to for 39 years, and her beloved dog, Tucker. She is also survived by two nieces, Shannon Shaffer, of Bellefonte, and Stacy Silfies, of Elizabethtown.

Donna had been a member of United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville.

She was a 1971 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. She then furthered her education and graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree.

Donna worked at Reading Anthracite Coal Co. for 45 years.

Donna enjoyed spending time with her loving husband and friends. She also loved her fur babies. One of her favorite hobbies was doing arts and crafts.

A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., Saint Clair, with the Rev. Jack Culbert officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may also call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. The family would appreciate contributions in Donna's memory to any SPCA of your choice. Donna is in the care of James H. Evans Funeral Home.
