The Life of JEAN M HAINES

Jean Marie (Meo) Haines, 76, of Wyomissing, PA, passed away March 17, 2023, while a guest at the Lutheran Home at Topton. Born in Reading, PA, she was a daughter of Dominic Alberto and Julia Emma (Kissinger) Meo. A 1964 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, she always cherished her time with the “Mifflin Girls” who were closest friends throughout her lifetime. She was involved in school musicals and was a majorette. Later, Jean served as President of the Governor Mifflin PTA. A very Stylish women, Jean loved nourishing her flowers and gardens, shopping, listening to Elvis, entertaining and cooking for family at holidays, and especially taking care of her children and spoiling her grandchildren. After graduating from McCann School of Business, she worked for various insurance and legal firms and was office manager at Second Wind, an advertising company. She cruised and traveled around the world with her husband of over 23 years, Scott A. Haines of Wyomissing, PA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children – Amy Jean (Eshelman), wife of Frank Bartolone, Jr., of Sinking Spring, and C. Jeffrey Eshelman, II, of Washington, D.C. as well as her step-children – Kristin (Haines) Mangan of Portland, OR, and Thad Haines of Shillington. In her last years and weeks, Jean was also surrounded by her loving sisters – Sandra (Meo) Cacciacarne of Reading and Angie (Meo), wife of William Briggs of Ocean City, NJ. She was a devoted grandmother to Isabella Jean and Matthew Frank Bartolone and step-grandson Sive Mangan. She was predeceased by grandson John Joseph Bartolone. She had many fun times at the beach, clam bakes and picnics with her nieces, nephews and extended family. Celebration of Jean’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 3:30 PM at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington, Rev. Jeffrey R. Hain will officiate. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, will be private. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday from 2:00-3:30 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to offer a special thank you to AseraCare Hospice, especially Ellen and Assured Assistance, especially Jessica, Karen and Claudia.
