The Life of PatrIcia A. Darragh

Patricia A. Darragh, age 83, a resident of Lansdowne, passed peacefully Saturday, November 26, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Patricia was the daughter of the late George and Mary (McGonigle) Stewart. She was a graduate of John Bartram High School and Delaware County Community College and Presbyterian Hospital where she earned her Registered Nursing Degree. She was employed as a charge nurse for many long-term care facilities including the Inglis House, Saunders House and the Presbyterian Home; before she retired from Fair Acres. She was a revered charge nurse, who never asked anything of her co-workers, she wasn’t prepared to do herself. 

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister; Patricia was a member of the Aldan Union Church.

Along with her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Betty, George, Ron, Eddie, Billy and Margie.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Frank “Steve” Darragh; her children, Salvatore (Don) Ippolito and Michael (Michelle) Ippolito; her step-children, Tim Darragh, Denise Rowland, Deborah (Joe) Miletto, Gina (Steve) Mackey, Leah (Chad) Tyson and Kelly (Ron) Pennington; and sisters, Elaine and Ida. She is also survived by many grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her caregiver, Donna Hughes.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Services Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Gathering will take place at 9:30am in the Williamsburg Chapel in Arlington Cemetery, for a service prior to her burial.
