The Life of Joan V. Scott

Joan V. (nee Volz) Scott, 91, formerly of Springfield and Broomall, died November 10, 2022 at home. Born and raised in Maplewood NJ, she was a graduate of the College of NJ and received a M.S. from Glassboro Univ.

Joan Stickler Scott taught at Russell School in Marple Newtown for 27 years before retiring in 1993.  An adventuresome and fearless woman, she held a pilot’s license and had volunteered for the teacher in space program. She was an accomplished painter and musician. A member of Reformation Lutheran Church in Media, survivors include her husband of 9 years, Dallas Scott, her son, Kenneth Ziegler, granddaughter Katera and nieces and nephews. 

 Her Funeral will be 11 AM Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill

Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
