The Life of Carolyn S Freeman

Carolyn S. Freeman, 84, of Pine Grove, passed away Monday, August 8th, at Renaissance Home Pinebrook, Orwigsburg. 
Born in Bloomington, IN on October 2, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Luther & Ruby (Creech) Culbert.
November 14, 2010, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James A. Freeman. The couple were campers with the Weekend Wheelers for over 40 years. They also enjoyed traveling and many years living as "snowbirds", as part-time residents of Florida.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn is also preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Hoppes, and siblings: Marlene Seiger, Patricia Keesock, James Culbert, & Dorothy Kanger.
She was a faithful member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven. For 64 years, Carolyn was a member and served as past worthy matron for Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #424, Orwigsburg.
Carolyn is remarkably crafty.She made countless complicated cross stitch works, and has crocheted over 100 afghans.
She was formerly employed by Garmin Industries as a supervisor. 
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tracee Freeman & partner, Norma, grandson, Matthew Hoppes & fiance, Gina, two great-grandsons: Gabriel, & Eli Hoppes, son-in-law, Darwin Hoppes, Jr. & wife, Becky, siblings: Gertrude "Trudy" Kessock, & John "Jack" Culbert, two step-great-grandchildren: Noah, & Ellie, and numerous nieces, & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday with Rev. Ted Rathman officiating. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
