The Life of Mrs. Doris Kertesz

Doris M. Kertesz, age 81, of Fairfield, wife of the late Stephen Kertesz, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Doris was born in Bridgeport and raised in Fairfield. She had worked for the Genovese Pharmacy of Fairfield for many years until her retirement. Doris loved the times that she spent at the Bigelow Senior Center, watching movies, going to concerts or just enjoying being with her friends. She was a very caring person, chauffeuring her friends around to their various appointments. She will be greatly missed.

Doris is survived by her sons, Stephen Kertesz, and his wife, Ann, of Providence, Rhode Island and Joseph Kertesz of Fairfield; her brothers, Floyd and Albert, and his wife, Joan; and her very dear relatives, Fred, Julia, and Michael and his wife, Margaret. She was predeceased by her son, John Kertesz.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
