The Life of Ronald J. Bahn

Ronald Bahn passed away on May 2, 2022, surrounded by family, after a year and a half battle with moyamoya, which he fought with inspiration and determination. His love for God was lived throughout his life and he lived for God.  His faith was at the core of his being.

Ronnie’s memory is cherished by his family and friends including his wife of 16 years, Julia Bahn, daughter, Grace Bahn, mother, Young Lee (Karen) Bahn, and father, Tai Bahn, and preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Bahn. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Ronald and Karen Lutz, his sisters-in-law Katrina (Jason) Brown and Beth (George) Hoffman and numerous nieces and nephews (Nathan, Kaitlyn, Ainsley, Kyla, and Aaron). Many dear friends, family and colleagues also hold Ronnie close to their heart.

Ronnie graduated from Penn State (Bachelor of Science in Business) and subsequently graduated from Eastern University (Master in Business Administration). He dedicated many hours along the years to volunteering through the Penn State Brandywine Board, Young Life, and SALT.

Ronnie lit up every room he entered with his smile, kindness, sincerity and generous spirit. He loved telling jokes.  And, he had best laugh to go with his jokes.   His number one priority was his family, and especially his daughter, Grace. He was the best “girl” dad ever.  When he wasn’t with his family and beloved friends, he spread his passion for soccer and running through various organizations including The Running Place Group, Media running group, and Casa Soccer League.  He was alive in every sense of the word.

The family would be honored to receive family and friends at West Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004  on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 6 pm - 8 pm and Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 3:30-5:30.  A Funeral Service will be held following the viewing at 5:30 on Sunday .  You may also join us by Zoom. Please call 610-668-9900 for meeting number and passcode.

The burial will be on Tuesday, May 24th at Arlington Cemetery 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 Tuesday, May 24 2022 at 2:00pm.

The family respectfully suggests donations be made in lieu of flowers to help with Ronnie’s final expenses. More Info to follow.

We ask that his family and friends keep Ronnieing. We keep his spirit alive we live following in ways of kindness and strength. He's running circles around us all right now.

Starting Middle School

I went to middle school with Ronnie, and he was just a straight up nice guy every time I spoke to or interacted with him from then until we graduated high school. We weren't quite friends, but I was always glad to know that he was there, and that he was who he was. RIP.

Penn State

I met Ronnie at SALT in college a few years ago(!), but I can still recall his laughter.  I know we will see him again in Heaven.  I am so sorry and praying for you Julia.

Never not smiling

I met Ronnie 10+ years ago and even though we lost touch over the past few years one thing that I never lost was that sense of calm he could bring to you no matter what you were going through. We met through CASA as we both shared a passion for the beautiful game and it was an honor to play along side him. He was one of the best teammates I've ever had and I can still hear his laugh and see his smile when I close my eyes. To know Ronnie was to love Ronnnie. Even in disagreements you always found yourself in a better place after speaking with him. We all lost a truly irreplaceable soul but the memories we had will ensure he is gone but never truly forgotten.

Co-Runner

I met Ronnie in The Running Place where we ran every Monday night. There are so many friendly runners but I never forget him because of his real smile. When we talk , it's like we have known for years.

He always stopped by our front yard when he rans  in our neighborhood & start talking for few minutes.
It's really heartbreaking to lost a very nice person. I don't usually cry when someone dies. But I did for him & I was shaken my husband is a witness for it.

But at the same time I celebrate his life because Ronnie is in the good hands now, with our Mighty GOD. RIP Ronnie.

Loving man, father, husband and son

Ronnie and I are cousins and although I grew up as an only child, he was like a younger brother that God had gifted me with.  I mourn for him dearly but know that he's in a far better place as he is now with God.  Thank you Ronnie for teaching me the value of life and how to fullly live it while our time here is short.  I miss you so much and wish I could see you one more time as my heart aches.  I'll see you in heaven and I look forward to seeing your smile once again.  Love you my brother.
