The Life of GEORGENE J. POSEY

Georgene J. Posey, 77, of Denver, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, in the care of ManorCare Sinking Spring. She was one of the four daughters born to the late George J. and Lola Y. (Pirone) Posey.

She graduated from Alvernia. For many years she worked at Two Guys in management. She last worked at UGI Utilities, Inc., as an accountant.

Georgene was generous with her time and of herself. She was a volunteer with the United Way, and she greatly enjoyed participating in bowling tournaments benefiting Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Her nieces and nephews were her favorite people to spoil. She enjoyed suduko and vacations spent relaxing at the beach.

She is survived by her sisters Alberta E., widow of Frank D. Spehar, of Wyomissing, and Mary Jane “MJ” Posey of Ephrata, as well as by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Ann Marello.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Georgene’s memory may be offered to Big Brothers, Big Sisters, 303 Windsor St, Reading, PA 19601.
