The Life of KATHLEEN D. PROMUTICO

Kathleen Dawn Promutico, 57, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021, in her Reading home after a long battle with breast cancer. Born in St. Louis, MO on October 6, 1964, she was the natural daughter of John G. Hales, III (Canton, OH) and Rosemarie Quigley Hales Ambs (Ruther Glen, VA). Her loving step parents were Carol Hales (Canton, OH) and the late Joseph Robert Ambs. She graduated from LaFayette High School, Ballwin, MO. She was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington, PA. Kathy was the loving spouse of Christopher C. Promutico, her devoted husband of 26 years. During her 32-year career as an American Airlines flight attendant, she and Chris met and married and added two beautiful girls, Sophia and Isabella, to their family. Kathy loved her profession, especially the perks of the job which included traveling the world, often flying with her husband and bringing the girls along on trips. Quality time with her family was precious. Kathy loved nature and enjoyed taking walks and being outside. In nature, she saw evidence of her Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ, whom she eagerly anticipated seeing face to face. Anyone who met Kathy could see Jesus in her; her joy and her smile lit up every room and every airplane she entered. Though she longed to remain a little longer with her loving family, she knew that this world was not her home. The countless people she touched with her loving kindness grieve the loss of her sweet presence here. In addition to her husband, Chris, she is survived by her daughters, Sophia M. Promutico and Isabella R. Promutico. Other survivors include two siblings, John George Hales, IV, Holton City, TX and Angela M. (Jeff) Lemond, Allen, TX; five step-siblings: Renee’ (Wayne) Melton, Ruther Glen, VA; Chris (Scott) Ambs, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Alyson Ambs, Ladysmith, VA; Jennifer (Don) Gatens, Philadelphia, PA; and James (Kim) Foster, Dover, OH. She is also survived by brother-in-law Marc (Louise) Promutico, Albany, NY; brother-in-law Ricky (Kim) Promutico, Reading, PA; brother-in-law Daniel Promutico, Southern Shores, NC; sister-in-law Teresa (John) Bonano, Reading, PA; brother-in-law Joe (Marcie) Promutico, Reading, PA; and sister-in-law Rebecca (Jay) Olszewski, Southern Shores, NC.
