The Life of Michael J. Callan

Michael J. Callan, Sr., 67, longtime resident of Drexel Hill, PA passed away suddenly on November 28, 2021.  Michael was a graduate of Msgr. Bonner, class of '72.  He owned and operated M.J. Friendship

I heard the news of Michael's sudden passing, and I was filled with sorrow.  This must be a difficult time for his family to endure. He was a thoughtful, generous and caring person.  The last time I was visiting back home, I was on my way to the airport, but I stopped at his favorite sports bar on Garrett Rd and he told me to park in the back. Of course, Notre Dame was playing.  Anytime I had a remodeling or plumbing question, he was always there to give me much appreciated advice.  In fact, he would give me advice on things that I did not call him for.  It was all appreciated and I will miss him.  We grew up together on the same street.  I was there when he met Mary in the summer of 1972.  I have so many good memories from our long friendship.  I will be thinking about and praying for the Callan and Brace families.  His intentions will always be remembered by me and many others.  I am grateful for being able to call him a friend.  With sympathy, Albert

My Condolences

Mary, Bobby and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Mike and I had many conversations at LA Fitness, either in the Gym or many times in the pool. He was such a great guy and it's a shock to all of us. He will be so missed. God Bless.
