The Life of VIRGINIA P YUSKA

Age 81, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Libertyville, Illinois. Vee was born in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh, PA on February 5, 1941. She graduated from Schenley High School in the class of '59 and wedded Robert F. Yuska on June 15, 1963. They were married 29 years and resided in Lawrenceville. Robert passed away in 1992. Vee worked as a secretary for Pair Networks for several years. She enjoyed gardening, word puzzles and cooking. She was also actively involved in Holy Family Parish for many years. Her home in Lawrenceville was the family gathering place for the holidays, game nights, and sharing homemade Italian cuisine. Her family remembers endless summer afternoons swimming in her pool, enjoying the best air conditioning in town, and quality time shared in her home. She never ran out of treats for the Grandchildren (or for herself) and we will never forget the memories we made in that house. Wife of the late Robert F. Yuska; mother of Angela M. Swartz, Robert (Laura) Yuska Jr., Jacqueline (Todd) Hogan, Erik Kratzenberg and the late Cynthia Yuska; adoring grandchildren Ashleigh (David) Riehl, Jacob (Malika) Hogan, Robert (Emma) Yuska III, Caitlin (Brandon) Rojas, Courtney (Everett) Emery, Kelsey (Steve) Hogan and Lindsay (Joseph) Yuska. She was blessed with 6 beautiful great-grandchildren: Harvey, Lenora and Benedict Riehl, Jane and Theodore Hogan and Esther Emery. Sister of Rose (John) DeFrencesco, Marie Coyner, Joseph (Carol) Tortorea, Paul (Melva) Tortorea, the late Tuddy Tortorea, Salvatora Tortorea, Frances Rafaloski, Jimmy Tortorea, Anthony Tortorea and Josephine Santilli; also survived by many nieces and nephews and an extensive loving family. Family and friends are welcomed at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St. Augustine Church on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Allegheny Cemetery.
