The Life of Mr. Roger P. Brown

Roger P. Brown, 72, of Bechtelsville, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, PA. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Conrath) Brown, whom he married on October 25, 2016.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ, Roger was a son of the late Charles A. Brown, Sr., and Sarah E. (Harmon) Brown. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Breinigsville, and worked as a Technician in the Food Service Industry for many years. He was a handyman and jack-of-all trades and was willing to help anyone fix anything.  

He enjoyed farming, biking, fishing and spending time outdoors, especially at Trexler Game Preserve. He was a volunteer with The Salvation Army, portraying Santa Claus during the holiday season.

In addition to his wife Joyce, Roger is survived by his children, Latisha Roberts, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ, Roger Brown, Bridgeport, CT, Ronnie Brown, Smyrna, DE, Roger A. Brown, New Castle, DE, and Tammy Brown-Yalley, Smyrna, DE; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is also survived by his siblings, Charles A. Brown, Jr., Bridgeton, NJ, Sara Harmon, Millville, NJ, Barbara Moore, Plainsboro, NJ, Frances Brown, Bethlehem, Alice Reames, Breinigsville and Steven Brown, Millville, NJ and their families. In addition to his parents, Roger was predeceased by a son, Jason Brown in 2017; and his siblings, Josephine Brown, Betty Ann Jones, Joyce Hinton and Robert Brown.

A graveside services to celebrate and honor Roger’s life and burial will be held on Tuesday afternoon, March 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Topton Union Cemetery, 6 N. Callowhill Street, Topton, PA.
