The Life of Constance Povilaitis Ericson

Constance Ericson, 102, wife of the late Botvid "Bucky" Ericson of Seymour died on Sunday July 1, 2007 at Gardner Heights Health Center, Shelton. She was born January 31, 1905 in Derby, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Damanskas Povilaitis. She worked as a medical secretary for Griffin Hospital of Derby, retiring over 35 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church of Derby and was a member of the Orange Senior Center, and was also a former girl scout leader. Constance is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ericson Taggart and her companion Roger Frenette. S he is also survived by her granddaughter, Allise Taggart Fay and her husband Robert and her great grandson Aedan Fay all of whom reside in Seymour. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Anna Alcott and two brothers Joseph and John Povilaitis. Her funeral will be held on Friday at St. Mary's Church on Elizabeth St. in Derby at 121 AM. Her burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia. The Jenkins-King Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
