The Life of Edward W. III Loftus

Edward W. Loftus Jr., age 69 husband to Joan Emmerson Loftus and resident of Derby, entered into eternal rest Feb. 12. He was born August 15, 1943 in Derby, son of the late Edward & Mabel Barkley Loftus. A Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., Edward worked in the engineering Dept. for Griffin Hospital, for Marriott Hotel and as a driver for Peter Pan Bus Co. of Milford. In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory his son Neil Cameron of Seymour, 5 step children Alice McCarthy of Seymour, Tyler Cirillo of Trumbull, Richard Cirillo of Branford, Patricia Cirrillo of Arlington, Texas & Jo Ann Roberts of Bethany, CT. Also surviving are his brother Robert Loftus of West Haven, two sisters Kathleen Emmerson of Milford & Mary Ellen Loftus of Middletown, nine grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces & nephews. Friends may call on Friday, February 15 at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia between 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Christopher Camp of The River Valley Baptist Church of Ansonia will officiate. His Burial will be held privately in Pine Grove Cemetery as weather permits. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to The River Valley Baptist Church of Ansonia.
