The Life of KIMBERLY A. HOGUE

Kimberly A. Cheatham Hogue was born April 20, 1960 in Homestead, Pa. She was the second child born from the union of John Cheatham and Odessa McCoy who preceded her in death. Her big sister the late Helen Cheatham Resse was thrilled at her baby sister's arrival.Kimberly departed this life and became present with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2020. Kimberly was united in marriage to Michael Hogue on August 18, 1984. From this union one son was born Christian Ian Hogue. 

 

She attended school in the Homestead school district and would go on to graduate from Steel Valley High School class of 1978. 

 

After graduation Kimberly began working at the New Pittsburgh Courier. She was employed there many years and held several positions. Kimberly then attended Community College of Allegheny County where she earned several certificates. She then began her working career at Mellon Bank which later became BNY Mellon. Kimberly worked there over 20 years holding several positions which included a supervisory role until her eyesight made it difficult to do her job and she went on disability. 

 

Kimberly accepted the Lord as her Savior during her early teenage years while at Clark Memorial Baptist Churchunder the pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. Donald A. Tunie. She joined the youth choir, young adults as well as many other activities and service groups at the church. In her adult years she graduated from the four year Clark Memorial Bible School receiving her certificate. 

 

Kimberly and her family joined Praise Center Full Gospel Church under the pastorate of Dr. Charles A. Scales, Jr., Bishop. She also attended the Praise Center School of Ministry graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Divinity. 

 

Kimberly was determined that her visual disability was not going to stop her from being the Worship Leader which she did until her death. She was also the leader of the Women's Fellowship with assistance from Sister Sharon Corbett. Worshiping and fellowshipping at Praise Center Full Gospel Church brought her a lot of joy. 

 

Kimberly leaves to celebrate her memory beloved husband of 35 years, Michael Hogue; son, Christian Hogue; brother-in-law Willie (Von); sisters-in-law, Brendaand Tracy Hogue.  Her two childhood friends, Erica Bowe and Margaret Bartee Davis and a host of  nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and nephew, a loving church family and a host of family and friends so many to name but you know who you are.
