The Life of George E Bantel
George E. Bantel, 72, of N. E. Philadelphia, PA, died February 18, 2020 at Jeanes Hospital. He was a graduate of Northeast HS class of '65.
A Vietnam Army Veteran, George was a Master Carpenter and employed by Union Local 1856. A man of strong faith, he was a former member of Living Word Community, and used his professional skills in their outreach ministry and also contributed to the local community. He is currently a member of the New Life Presbyterian Church.
In his free time, George enjoyed walking in nature with his family. Outgoing and friendly, he was a caring and generous man. He will best be remembered as a loving husband, dad and pop-pop.
Survivors: include his wife of 47 years, Diana (nee Kaloustian); children George Bantel, Rachel Bantel (Brian Convery) and Michael Bantel; his brother, Henry (Patricia) Bantel and granddaughters Margaret & Clare Convery.
Visitation will be 10 AM Monday Feb 24, 2020 at the Toppitzer Funeral Home in the Arlington Cemetary, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill PA 19026 followed by his Funeral Service at 11 AM.
Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026
Contributions: in his memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, would be preferred
