The Life of Meliton M Cordova
Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Meliton M. Cordova, 86, who passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Sean Wilcox will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Gardens in Lafayette.
Meliton was from Walsenburg, Colorado and resided in Broussard, LA for the past 50 years. Meliton was associated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Youngsville, LA and believed that God’s Kingdom would soon bring blessings to obedient mankind.
Survivors include one son, Tony Cordova of Broussard, LA; four daughters, Vickie Cordova of Youngsville, LA, Dolores Jean Blanc of Lafayette, LA, Connie Cordova White and husband Gary White, of Porter, TX, and Bonnie Cordova of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren, Kristie Cordova Fremin and husband David Fremin Jr, Amy Cordova Lee, Joshua Cordova and wife Kayla, Anthony Innis, Bianca Thibodeaux, Jasmine Thibodeaux and husband Jamie Thibodeaux, Jarrid Benoit, Jagger Benoit, Michael White, Nicholas White; and 20 great grandchildren, Sieghan Fremin, Raegan Fremin, Jayden Lee, Kinzey Lee, Antonio Innis, Anthony Innis Jr, Amiah Innis, Davante Innis, Naomi Innis, Dominic Innis, Kash Innis, Dawson Innis, Jaxson Cordova, Colson Cordova, Laken Thibodeaux, Ashton Thibodeaux, Christian White, Cameron White, Caleb White, and Madeline White.
Meliton was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Abel Cordova and Clarita Martinez Cordova; his brother, Felix Cordova; two sisters, Mary Cordova and Rosa Cordova; wife, Lita Taylor Cordova; and his son-in-law, Roger Jean Blanc.
Pallbearers will be Tony Cordova, Anthony Innis, Jarrid Benoit, Jagger Benoit, Joshua Cordova and Gary White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roddy Matherne, Michael Matherne and Nicholas Matherne.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., Breaux Bridge, LA 70517, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
