The Life of Mrs. Carole Messina

Carole Marie Messina, 77, of Bloomfield and formerly of Fairfield, CT, loving wife of 55 years to James R. Messina, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 18, 2019 in her home while surrounded by her family. She was born on March 31, 1942 in Port Chester, NY and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1960 and the Westchester School of Nursing in 1963. Carole was predeceased by her father, Charles Daly and mother, Mildred (Hay) Daly.
Besides her husband James, Carole is also survived by her son, James Messina and his wife Kathleen of Randolph, NJ and daughter, Dr. Wendy Miller and her husband Dr. Thomas Miller of West Hartford, CT and six loving grandchildren Katelyn and James Messina, and Thomas, Molly, Megan and Mary Miller. Also surviving is Carole’s brother, Charles F. Daly and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carole dedicated her life to helping and caring for others as a Registered Nurse and she spent the last 27 years of her career as Director of Nursing at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield, CT.  A special thank you to McLean Home Services and Hospice for the wonderful care and warmth that Carole received from their staff members.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive in Fairfield, CT with inurnment in Oak Lawn Mausoleum in Fairfield, CT.
