The Life of Joyce Arlene Harmon

SHAWNEE- Joyce A. Harmon, 75, Shawnee, KS passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2007, at the Lenexa United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gilda Radner Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry. Joyce was born in Abilene, KS the daughter of Dr. E. F. and Irma Stark. She was a member of the Lenexa United Methodist Church, Spectrum Sunday School Class, Susanna Circle and the Abdallah Clownettes. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Donald E. Harmon; two daughters, Joann Shope of Wichita, KS and Dorothy and her husband Steve Overbey of Topeka, KS; a son, Mike Harmon of Wichita, KS; eleven grandchildren, Dorothy, Fred, Meg, John, Joseph, Rachel, and Sammi Shope, Carissa Shoemaker and Jason Harmon, Kelli and Jacob Overbey and great grandson J.D. Shoemaker. Also survives a 'sister' Dorthey Coleman of Abilene, KS. Joyce was a loving homemaker and will be missed by all who knew her. Online condolences may be expressed at www.amosfamily.com.
