The Life of Brian K. Derr

Brian K. Derr, 54, of Ruscombmanor Township, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in his residence surrounded by family after an 18 month valiant battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Dawn M. (Schmoyer) Derr. They were married October 3, 1987. Born in Sellersville, Bucks County, he was a son of Willard Derr and Jean L. (Schultz) Haas. Brian was a member of Saint John's United Church of Christ, Pricetown. He was employed for 29 years as an Electrical Lineman for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 126, Collegeville, last working July 11, 2018. Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to concerts and sporting events, camping and spending time with his family at the cabin. Brian was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, Pennsburg, Class of 1982.

In addition to his wife of 31 years, Dawn, and his parents, Brian is survived by sons, Brandon K. Derr and Kenneth B. Derr, both at home.

A funeral service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Saturday, November 24,2018, at 11:00 a.m. from Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Arthur L. Hahn, officiating. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery of Pricetown. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Brian was very devoted to his wife and sons. I loved to hear his laughter. He came into it easily. It always touched me when he would ask how my grandson Oakley was doing. We’re going to miss him
