The Life of Glenna J Walters

Glenna J. Walters, 87, of Seltzer, died Thursday at the home of her son.

She was born July 13, 1931, in Johnson City, N.Y., a daughter of the late William Sr. and Myrtle Johnson Buck.

Prior to retiring, she worked for the former LP Lightning Co., Pottsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Walters Sr.; a son, Thomas Walters; a daughter, Bonnie Schmitt; an infant daughter, Donna Walters; two grandsons, Ryan and Christopher Walters; two sisters, Marion Bindley and Audrey Reynolds; two brothers, William Buck Jr. and Leo Buck.

Surviving are her son, Lou Walters and his wife, Debbie, Seltzer; four grandchildren, John Schmitt (Chrissy), Candace Lubinsky (Donny), Caitlin Kaplan (Dan) and Angela Lesher (John); 10 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kierstin, Shania, Bryce, Talan, Olivia, Scarlett, Keyley, Addison and Camryn; a sister, Sylvia Via, Pottsville; a brother, Robert Buck, Schuylkill Haven; a son-in-law, Jack Schmitt, Pottsville; a daughter-in-law, Mag Walters, Auburn; nieces and nephews.

Services celebrating the life of Glenna will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 538 Sunbury St., Minersville, PA 17954, or Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
