The Life of Doris E Halye
Doris E. Halye, 91, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday while a resident of Seton Manor.
Born Feb. 28, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Carrie Reber Clauser.
Doris was a 1945 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.
She was a member of St. John's UCC, where she was also a past member of the choir.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her longtime companion, Wilbur Stein, and a sister, Reta V. Shollenberger.
Doris is survived by her children, Jim Halye, husband of Jane, Summit Station, Diane Bogdan, Pottsville, Carol Seiler, wife of John, Auburn, and Beth Holland, wife of Joel,Terrill, Iowa. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grabowski Funeral Home, off Route 61, Schuylkill Haven. Interment will follow the services at Summer Hill Cemetery, South Manheim Township. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris' name can be made to St. John's UCC, 121 E.
