The Life of MARK ALAN SHORE
Mark Shore
Des Moines - Mark Alan Shore, 60, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away, Monday, January 1, 2018, surrounded by family at The Taylor House. Mark, son of Howard, and Marlene (Trotter) Shore, was born July 22nd, 1957, in Newton, Iowa.
He graduated from Saydel High School and went on to work at Meredith and then R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company for 25 years. He also worked for Unity Point Health until he was forced to stop due to his illness. Mark loved to fish and was a loyal member of the Izaak Walton League. Mark was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend who loved his family and cherished the times he could spend with them.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Chad Shore of Austin, TX; his daughter, Jennifer (Frank) Daczewitz of Bel Air, MD and his three grandchildren, Isabella, Oliver, and Francesca Daczewitz; Elizabeth (Miller) Shore; his two sisters, Rhonda (Steve) Fucaloro and Terri Vitiritto, both of Des Moines, IA; two brothers, Joe (Katie) Shore of Chariton, IA and Greg (Stacey) Shore of Des Moines, IA; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his fiancé, Sue Duke.
A special thank you to the medical staff at Methodist Hospital and The Taylor House for their loving care and support. Also thank you to Hamilton''s Funeral Home for all of the arrangements.
A private family burial service will be held on Friday January 12th at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery located at 1 NE 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313 at 11am.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Izaak Walton League of Des Moines, 4343 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines, Iowa 50321.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date.
