The Life of DANNY CLAUDE DAVIS
Des Moines - Danny Claude Davis, of Des Moines, passed away at VA Hospice after a long hard battle with cancer on December 25, 2017. Danny was born on October 22, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa to Rozella (DeBord) Bussanmas and Claude Davis Jr. He graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1965. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving in the Navy from 1966 to 1970.
Danny is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Debbie; four children from a prior marriage, son Danny (Robin) Davis, daughters Kayla (Doug) Flanders, Jaime Davis, and Jenny Davis (Jeremy Lord) and three siblings, brothers Steve (Janet) Davis, Robert Davis, and sister Tonya Cox. He was preceded in death by his step-son, Troy Wittmaier.
A celebration of life service will be held at the North Senior Center at 3010 6th Avenue, Des Moines on December 28th. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with a short service at 6:00 pm. A light meal will follow. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Veterans Administration Hospice.
