The Life of Jean R. Baginsky

Jean Reeder Baginsky, 66, of Exton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017 after a long illness. Her devoted and loving husband of 33 years Walter was by her side until the very end. She will be extremely missed by him and also her two loving children Bridget (married to Christian Babcock) and Bret (married to Sara Baginsky). She never got to truly understand what it meant to be a grandmother due to her illness but stories of her humor, loyalty, love, sense of adventure, independence and strength will be shared with her granddaughter Iona as she grows up.  Jean was a cosmetologist and owned her own salon, Royal Touch, in Alburtis. She taught cosmetology at Empire Beauty School for 6 years and Folcroft VoTech school for 34 years. Outside of work, she was active in the Lutheran church and at one time played the organ at Trinity Lutheran Church in Topton. She loved to travel and her favorite place to visit was Alaska. She also loved to knit and sew and her handmade pieces have been well loved by many over the years.

In addition to her husband, children, and granddaughter, she is survived by her mother Mabel Reeder, two sisters Darla (Harold) Moyer and Linda (Dennis) Breidigam, and two brothers Bradley (Robin) Reeder and Blaine (Eileen) Reeder. She has several nieces, nephews and their children as well. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Reeder.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 South Home Avenue, Topton, with the Reverend Thomas Darr, officiating. Interment will follow in Topton Union Cemetery. Family and friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 AM in the church.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011 or on-line at alz.org/donate.

Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Topton, is in charge of arrangements. Memories and  condolences may be shared at www.Ludwickfh.com

Empire Beauty School

I remember Jean teaching me her hair cutting technique that to this day, I still use. I remember Jean being the best teacher I ever had , she was a very caring person and had such a passion for teaching and for her students. I would never be where I am today if i hadn't met Jean. My condolences to Walt and Family. Larry Miles Salon Desante of Exton

I remember when i first .et Jean I was a substiute teacher in 1992. I was 25 years oldr in Folcroft Votech(now known as Del. County Technical School). She was very kind to me and showed me the ropes as a Cosmetology Instructor. When I became a full time instructor she was a tuff cookie with high expectatiins. She was funny and loved her children immensely. She would bring her children to school(as my own Mom did at another DCIU location). I'll never forget her. Barb McGee
