The Life of Francis J Bennicoff


Francis J. "Benny" Bennicoff, 74, passed away peacefully Nov. 4 at home in Frackville.

Born in Kutztown, he was a son of Russell and Esther Mae Berger Bennicoff. 

As a youth, he worked as a farmer and enjoyed the outdoors and farm work his entire life. His primary occupation was as a truck driver, hauling product and materials across the country. The last job Francis had was as a truck driver for Berks Ready Mix Concrete in Allentown. In retirement, he worked part time for Bova Maintenance in the Frackville Mall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David; former wife, Elizabeth; stepdaughter, Brenda. 

He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Susan Bennethum, wife of Paul, Lakeland, Fla., and Cindy Ruiz, Reading; a son, William, husband of Beverly, Connecticut; stepchildren, Michael Rivera, husband of Holly, Jim Thorpe, Terresa Coffin, Conway, S.C., Delia Lafayette, wife of Alton, New Hampshire, and Juanita Rivera, Puerto Rico; sisters, Mary Brossman, Fern Yerger and Betty Smith; brothers, Russell Bennicoff and Milton Kerchner; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schuylkill Memorial Park Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather at the chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment at Schuylkill Memorial Park will be private. Grabowski Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
