The Life of Marian E James
Marian E. James, 93, passed away Nov. 2 at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pottsville, where she had been a resident.
Born in Cressona, Aug. 31, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John and Leah Butz Bedford.
She was the widow of John Norman James, who passed away in 1997.
Marian was formerly employed by St. Luke's Hospital as an X-ray technician.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Helen Oberst.
Marian is survived by her stepdaughter, Norma J. Morris, wife of Robert D., Lake Worth, Fla.; grandchildren, Jon Morris, husband of Kelly M., Lake Worth, Fla., and Robin D. Parsons, wife of Keith, Boynton Beach, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Colin; sister, Dorothy Singly, Friedensburg; nieces.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
