The Life of BARBARA A MADARA

Barbara A. Madara, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at Complete Care - Berkshire, Exeter Township.  She was the wife of the late Donald P. Madara who passed away on November 25, 2019. Born in Reading, Barbara was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Domagalski) Waligorski.  She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph L. Waligorski.

Barbara was a 1956 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of Saint John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church in Shillington.  In addition to her professional career as a bookkeeper and receptionist, Barbara was a selfless caregiver, first to her mother, and then to her husband in their time of need. 

An avid dancer, Barbara was a member of the Polka Squires, Country Western Dancers of Reading and the Polish Falcons.  She is survived by her step-son John M. Madara, husband of Chrystal D. Madara of Mount Joy, PA and her step-grandchildren Shannon and Heather Madara.

A Prayer Service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Chapel of Saint George at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 in memory of Mrs. Barbara A.
