The Life of Sylvia Kathleen Houston

Sylvia Kathleen Houston, age 97, of Batavia, passed Friday, August 17, 2017 at Eastgatespring of Cincinnati. She was born March 17, 1920 in Chicago, Illnois the daughter of Amon and Bertha Becker Carr. Before retirement she was a secretary for the New York Life Insurance Company. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard H. Houston January 21, 1999 and her daughter Holly Stein in September 2016. She is survived by her daughter Heather Byron, grand-children Julie Byron, Lisa Chapman and Mark Byron, great-grandchildren Lauren Chapman Whisenant, Alex Chapman, Zachary Byron and Jonathan Byron and her sister Lynette Ross. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Anderson Township.
