The Life of Julia Demanchyk
Julia Demanchyk, age 96, widow of Victor Demanchyk of Seymour, died peacefully on August 1, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Born in Shelton daughter of the late Theodore and Tessie (Boroswich) Ketz. Mrs. Demanchyk worked as an assembler for WE Bassett Co. and cared for her family. She was a member of St. Thomas Apostle Church in Oxford. Julia took great pride in her children and grandchildren's lives and accomplishments. She is survived by her devoted children. Gail and her husband James Brushitis of Beacon Falls, John and Eleanor of MO, Thomas of W. V., her siblings, Mary Karkut and Helen Narowski both of Shelton; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Julia was predeceased by a granddaughter Kristine Petroski, four brothers; Paul, Alexander, Peter and Wasil Ketz and a sister Eva Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, August 7th at 10:00AM in St. Thomas Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd. (Rte.67), Oxford. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
